"God's Work. Our Hands." Sunday

Join us, and an estimated 10,000 ELCA congregations, for this annual day of service! At NJLC, this is a day to connect with our church community and support some of our outreach projects. "God's Work. Our Hands." begins with worship at 10:00 a.m., followed by a delicious potluck luncheon. After lunch we will begin our service projects.

2018's projects include:

  • NEW Parsonage/Grounds Cleanup and Upkeep. In addition to weeding the New Jerusalem garden beds and maintenance on the church grounds, we also will be updating the garden and outdoor space of the parsonage.

  • NEW Children's rock painting station creating faith-based messages on rocks to be distributed around the Lovettsville town square and to Woodlawn Assisted Living.

  • Assembling health kits for distribution to Lutheran World Relief.

  • Assisting with pocket prayer shawls for local distribution to Woodlawn Assisted Living.

  • Sorting and stocking for the Western Loudoun Food Pantry.

  • Assisting with lunch set-up and breakdown.

Sign up sheets for the potluck will be in the fellowship hall, and donation bags for the food pantry will be distributed during services on 8/19, 8/26 and 9/2. Check back for more details on this year’s event!
